Dogdyke Parish Council Meeting
Monday 7th October 2024
In attendance- Cllrs G Forman, P Scofield, R Wilson, C Brown, A Means, N Harvey, J Turner.

- No apologies all in attendance.
- No declarations of interest at this point.
- Draft notes previously circulated – Proposed as a true and correct record of the meeting held July 8th Cllr Harvey, seconded Cllr Means all voted in favour RESOLVED
- No District or County Cllrs in attendance – all suggested email them should council need to.
- Finances – Proposed Cllr N Harvey seconded Cllr J Turner to pay all as listed Salary August £260; HMRC £58; Salary September £260, HMRC £58, Salary October £260; HMRC £58; Grass cutting cemetery & centre of village, 3 cuts no invoice to date £216, Meeting room hire £30.
- Update on footpath refurbishment- from Cllr Key August 9th Works for this are due in April and it has been decided to do a combined footway and carriageway scheme as one needed the other to make things work. Highways will be doing some trial holes in the coming weeks so there will be activity on site but this is just to ensure they get the design right etc.
- Tattershall Bridge – Funding was not forthcoming for the project – they were looking for areas as visitor attractions within bigger settlements – to promote the funders rather than enhancements.
- TRO – to extend the existing 30mph speed limit on Chapel Hill Road, Cllrs voted unanimously to support this extension of the speed limit towards Holland Fen from Chapel Hill Bridge.
- Defibrillator Chapel Hill – this has been taken out of service until the pads and possibly the battery are replaced – ran out in 2021 battery power at 50% cost to replace £282 purchase of required items Proposed Cllr G Forman, seconded Cllr A Means, RESOLVED – Proposal Cllr R Wilson to relocate the defibrillator to Tattershall Bridge at The Royal Oak –the numbers of visitors to this area is much higher than other areas, seconded Cllr N Harvey, all voted in favour RESOLVED Clerk to liaise with landlord to get this moved and installed.
- Planning - Planning Application Reference: 24/0999/HOUS
Proposal: Proposed single storey extension to existing bungalow, erection of a
detached double garage and demolition of workshop Location: Chapel Bungalow
Tattershall Bridge Road Tattershall Bridge Lincoln
The above planning application has been received by the District Council on 18th
September, all voted to SUPPORT this application.
- Clerks report – no further comments from the clerk.
Items for report /action – reports to Fix my Street required
- Twenty Foot bank, at the A153 end, humps and hollows throwing the vehicles around, drivers are unable to avoid when there is oncoming traffic.
- As above dip in the carriageway by the Sewage Plant – previously reported.
- Briars on the footpath restricting access under the bridge for walkers and cyclists.
- Trees and Shrubs alongside the riverbank from Tattershall Bridge towards Kirkstead Bridge need trimming back.
