Dogdyke Parish Council
Meeting October 6th 2025
Royal Oak Tattershall Bridge 7pm.
No public in attendance.
In attendance were Councillors Peter Schofield, Neil Harvey, Richard Wilson, Chris Brown, Andrew Means and Guy Forman.
1. Welcome from Chairman Cllr Peter Schofield
2. Apologies and reasons for absence were RESOLVED from Cllr Jim Turner
3. No declaration of interest or requests for dispensation.
4. Cllr N Harvey proposed the notes of the Annual meeting held on June 30th having been previously circulated, as a true and correct record, seconded Cllr A Means, all voted in favour RESOLVED Chairman signed & dated the minutes.
5. No District or County Councillors present at the meeting. Apologies received Cllr East.
6. Finances as listed all RESOLVED for payment Proposed Cllr A Means, seconded Cllr N Harvey Salary August £292.20 HMRC £53.80; September £292.20 HMRC £53.80; October £292.20 HMRC £53.80; Grass cutting cemetery & village x 4 cuts£420; Room hire October £30; Website training £30; Web Master Service as discussed item 9 £54
7. Reports from Councillors needing attention – Twenty Foot, previously reported issues with the subsidence near to the two cottages, needs highlighting as it is getting worse.
Holland Fen road is dangerous to drive along; Clerk will prompt the HF&Bclerk to report this to Boston Borough Highways.
The newly constructed section of path completed in June this year has split and is sinking into the dyke, the wooden shuttering has failed between Tattershall Bridge and the dwellings opposite the MOT centre.
The road signage at the A153 end of Twenty Foot Bank has been knocked down, also damaged the hydrant which was alongside of the sign.
8. Council did not disagree with the Civility and Respect Pledge but felt it was overkill and proposed not to sign up but to suggest that these statements should be part of the Code of Conduct and would happily agree to this. RESOLVED all in agreement Clerk was requested to put this information forward to LALC/NALC for consideration.
9. Proposal to sign up to LALC Web Master Service for 3 hours £54 to get the Web site revamped and user friendly, Proposer Cllr Guy Forman, seconded Cllr Neil Harvey, RESOLVED all in favour.
10. Council is now registered with gov.uk email no charge with Parish on Line, making us now compliant for the 25/26 audit.
One tonne salt bags are being offered to parishes: Cllr Andrew Means offered to have a bag delivered to his farm for village use, Clerk will complete the application asap.
All grit bins need checking to find out if they are in good order and get them reported if not, Council have 7 or 8 in total.
Next meeting of Council 1st December – budget proposals will be discussed for 26/27 precept request.
