Transparency statement smaller councils
Transparency Code for smaller Councils (under 25K) came into force April 2015
The Code was developed to meet the government aim to give more power to citizens and increase democratic accountability.
Transparency aims to give local electors the information they may need to hold a local authority to account.
The Code requires online publication of documents relating to council finances and other items to give a clear picture of councils activities, spending and governance.
Dogdyke Parish Council declares all expenditure in the minutes of the meetings.
Year end accounts published annually.
Annual Governance statement considered and published annually.
Internal Audit published annually including any report from the Internal auditor.
Council Members have no specific responsibilities all 7 are equally responsible for Council activities.
